About John F. Thie, DC
January 25, 1933 - August 3, 2005
Dr. John F. Thie was the founder of Touch for Health(R) Kinesiology, a very successfull program to balance the body energy.
John F. Thie, D.C. developed a brilliant merge of the ancient Chinese medicine and recent western discoveries and created Touch for Health. Dr. Thie incorporates the research of Dr. George Goodheart, founder of Applied Kinesiology.
During his research, “Dr. Goodheart discovered that muscle response changes moment to moment, depending on the stimulus. By manually pushing on arms or legs in different positions” (TFHKA Brochure) you can monitor this response. This muscle monitoring is also called muscle testing. When ‘something’ stresses the body physical, emotional, mental, environmental, biochemical (ex. food) some specific muscles are weakened. He discovered that by stimulating certain reflex points on the skin, the muscle becomes stronger immediately. Those reflex points act like energy switches. Dr. George Goodheart included acupressure points in his system since muscle responds to changes in the energy field, also.
